1 What is M·A·C Select?

M·A·C Select is M·A·C’s consumer loyalty program, a makeup-lovers’ cult for the seduced, devoted and downright obsessed.

2 Who is eligible to join the Program?

The Program is available to individuals who are legal residents of the United States (including its territories and possessions) and at least 13 years or older who provide and maintain a valid email address. Individuals who are between the age of 13 and the age of majority in their state of residence (“eligible minors”) must obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian to join the Program.

3 How do I join the Program?

You can join the Program by signing up with an Artist in a M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated store in the United States (excluding Massachusetts), or at maccosmetics.com. You will need to provide your name, zip and email address. If signing up on the Site, you will need to create a password.

4 How does the Program work?

The M·A·C Select Loyalty Program has three tiers – Seduced, Devoted and Obsessed. For the year in which you enroll in the Program, Tiers are based on your calendar year spend on qualifying products and services, commencing with the first date after your enrollment on which you make a qualifying purchase using your Program membership identification number, and ending on December 31 of that calendar year. For example, if you enroll in the program on February 1, 2016 and make your first qualifying purchase using your Program membership identification number on February 15, 2016, your Tier for 2017 will be based on your spend on qualifying products and services between February 15, 2016 and December 31, 2016. After the first year, tiers are based on a calendar year spend on qualifying products and services. The more you purchase, the more covetable privileges you earn and the higher you climb in our three elite tiers.

6 How do I earn Program benefits?

No purchase is required to join the Program. When you join the Program, you are automatically placed in the Seduced tier and qualify for Seduced benefits.

Some Program benefits require a purchase to qualify for the benefit. Purchases of $150 or more in a calendar year are required to advance to the Devoted tier and qualify for Devoted benefits. Purchases of $500 or more in a calendar year are required to advance to the Obsessed tier and qualify for Obsessed benefits.

To earn Program benefits, you must be enrolled in the Program, you must provide your Program member identification number at the time of the purchase, and purchases must be made on qualifying M·A·C Cosmetics products or services in M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated retail stores in the United States (excluding Massachusetts), or on the Site. Qualifying purchases include regular priced merchandise and services, and exclude gift cards, sales tax, state fees, shipping charges, delivery charges or other excluded charges specified by us from time-to-time. Viva Glam products are not included in the M·A·C Select Program as 100% the purchase price of any VIVA GLAM product goes toward the M·A·C AIDS Fund (minus VAT where applicable)

7 How do I qualify for each Program tier?

Program tiers are based on your calendar year spend at M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated retail stores in the United States (excluding Massachusetts), and the Site. In January of each year, your membership level will update based on the dollar amount you spent on qualifying products and services during the previous calendar year and your spending eligibility will be reset at zero for the new calendar year. For example if you spend $200.00 in a calendar year on qualifying purchases, your account will update to Devoted status in January of the following year. Your spending will be set at zero and start accumulating with each qualifying purchase from January 1st. During each calendar year, you can unlock a higher loyalty tier by spending the amount required on qualifying products and services to be eligible for that tier.

8 How long does it take for my purchases to accrue to my account?

It may take up to 7 days for eligible purchases and other Program activities to post to your account. 

9 How do I check my account status?

Your membership level and account status is accessible in your account online or with an Artist in a M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated store in the United States (excluding Massachusetts).

10 How do I identify myself in store?

You identify your M·A·C Select membership by providing your email address to an Artist in any M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated retail store in the United States (excluding Massachusetts)

11 What is Back-to-M·A·C Expanded?

Because we share your commitment to the environment, M·A·C Cosmetics accepts returns of its primary packaging through the Back to M·A·C Program. As a M•A•C Select member, by returning 6 M·A·C Cosmetics primary packaging containers to a M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated store in the United States (excluding Massachusetts), you’ll receive a free M·A·C Cosmetics lipstick, lipglass or single eye shadow (up to $17) of your choice as our thanks to you (Does not include special deco packaged products or Viva Glam products). Products provided at no charge cannot be returned or exchanged.

12 What is the Back-to-M·A·C Tracker?

To make participating in the Back-to-M·A·C program easier for you, M·A·C can collect M·A·C Select members primary packaging as you go. This means you can return, 1, 2 or more primary packages to a M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated store in the United States (excluding Massachusetts) and we’ll track them until you reach 6 and qualify for a complimentary Back-to-M·A·C product. Once you have reached 6, you can come into a M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated store in the United States (excluding Massachusetts), and you’ll receive a free M·A·C Cosmetics lipstick, lipglass or single eye shadow (up to $17) of your choice as our thanks to you (Does not include special deco packaged products or Viva Glam products). Products provided at no charge cannot be returned or exchanged.

13 What is my M·A·C Cosmetics Annual Gift?

M·A·C Select members receive a thank you gift offer every year in their anniversary month. The month that you first joined M·A·C Select by creating an account through the Site or providing your details to an Artist in a M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated store in the United States (excluding Massachusetts), is your anniversary month. You can redeem your gift benefit at checkout in a M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated store in the United States (excluding Massachusetts) or on the Site. A limit of one gift per member limited to the member’s anniversary month only, will be offered and cannot be transferred, delayed or returned. Your Anniversary gift will first be available the year after you join M·A·C Select and every year thereafter if you maintain an active member account.

14 What is my preferred store?

Your preferred store is the store you have selected as your favorite and most often visited M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated store in the United States (excluding Massachusetts). You can update your preferred store in your account on the M·A·C Cosmetics Site. By selecting your preferred store we can send you updates and invitations exclusively for that store.

15 How do I receive my complimentary shipping?

Your complimentary shipping for online shopping is automatically applied when you login to your M·A·C Cosmetics account. No minimum purchase is required for Seduced member shipping benefits.
For Devoted and Obsessed member expedited shipping benefits, a minimum purchase of $50.00 is required to qualify. All purchases for Devoted and Obsessed members under $50.00 will receive free standard shipping.

16 What are Pre-Shop Collections?

Exclusively for our Obsessed and Devoted members, from time to time you will be offered early access to shop select collections before they are offered for sale to the public. Qualifying members will receive email invites when these offers are made available. Members must login to their accounts to redeem this benefit. These offers are available for a limited time and quantities are limited.

17 How do I redeem my complimentary Make-up Application?

Exclusively for our Obsessed and Devoted members, complimentary makeup applications can be booked at participating M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated stores in the United States (excluding Massachusetts). To book your complimentary makeup application, contact your local store and provide your name, email and preferred contact phone number. Makeup applications are subject to availability and must be booked in advance. Click here to find your local store.

18 How to I manage my M·A·C Cosmetics email communications?

You can manage your email preferences in your account through the Site and from the link at the bottom of each email communication. Email communications from M·A·C Cosmetics tell you about exclusive opportunities, benefits, the latest collections from M·A·C Cosmetics and much more.

19 How do I update the information I provided to enroll in the Program?

You can update your information by logging into your account online in the profile section. You can find more information in our Privacy Policy.

20 What do I do if I forgot my password?

You can reset your password by selecting ‘Forgot Password’ at the login page.

21 What do I do if I believe that a purchase or other Program activity was not properly credited to my account?

If you have questions related to your membership account, please contact Customer Service on 1.800.588.0070 from within the U.S.A. or via email MAConlineService@maccosmetics.com.

22 How will M·A·C Cosmetics use the information I provide to enroll in the Program?

Unless you already opted in to additional and other uses of the information you provided at the time you enrolled in the Program, your information will be used to provide you with services and offers related to the Program including identifying your membership to provide you with a program tier and corresponding benefits. 23 What am I agreeing to by joining the Program?

By becoming a Program Member, you or your parent or legal guardian, if you are an eligible minor, agree that you/they have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Program terms & conditions and by any changes or modifications we may make.

24 What terms govern the Program?

Please refer to the M·A·C Select Loyalty Program: Terms and Conditions of Participation for the full list of Program terms.

25 Does my membership in the Program ever expire?

Membership will expire if a member is inactive for a period of 24 months or more. You can reactive your account after this period by logging into your account.

26 Can my membership in the Program be terminated?

M·A·C Cosmetics, in its sole discretion, can terminate any Member for any reason including, but not limited to, any failure to comply with the Program terms and conditions and/or our website terms and conditions.

27 What happens to any rewards I have earned if my membership in the Program is terminated or expires?

If your membership is terminated or expires, any rewards or benefits in your account will automatically terminate.

28 Can the Program be terminated?

Yes. We may, in our discretion, cancel, modify, restrict or terminate the Program or any aspect or feature of the Program at any time without prior notice, even though such changes may affect the value of rewards or benefits already accumulated or earned and/or the ability to redeem accumulated rewards or benefits.

29 What happens to any rewards I have earned if the Program is terminated?

If the Program is terminated, your rewards and benefits will automatically terminate. We will advise Members of the effective date of termination of the Program, rewards and benefits.

30 How do I terminate my Program membership if I no longer wish to participate?

If you decide you no longer want to be a part of the Program, you can opt-out in your My M∙A∙C account on the website or by informing an Artist at any M·A·C Cosmetics owned and operated retail store in the United States (excluding Massachusetts).
